The Enfield Independent was launched by an entrepreneur in 1970 and later passed through the hands of Reed Regional Newspapers.
The Independent was for a time run from an office at Edmonton Town Hall. The present office is right at the heart of Enfield, reflecting the strength of this excellent community newspaper.
