| History |
The Harlow edition, formerly known as The Gazette, had been in existence since the early 1950's and was largely regarded as the district's leading local newspaper. At the time it was generally felt that due to the close proximity of the two main towns of Harlow and Bishops Stortford, readers had a common bond with their neighbours over the Hertfordshire border, while the development of the M11 motorway further improved communication. |
