The first ever edition of the Bucks Free Press hit the streets on Friday December the 19th 1856. The reason for High Wycombe being chosen by William Butler was due to the fact that he saw it as one of the most important towns in Buckinghamshire. In 1970 both papers were acquired as part of the Westminster Press Group |
